This is the maquette for the bronze monument of General Chuck Yeager, famous for being the first to break the sound barrier, which was commissioned by D. Bruce Fite of Fite Development in Sacramento, and then donated to Edwards Air Force Base, where both Fite and Yeager were stationed. (See Monuments)
