Monuments

We consider a monument to be any sculpture life-size or larger. Doug prefers to create monument sculptures that are life plus 1/4 in size, especially if they are to be placed outdoors, because a smaller scale can get lost in the expanse of the out-of-doors. Exceptions would be if the subject is especially large like the dinosaurs or the elephant, which he is doing now that is 13’ at the shoulders, or if the project is commissioned life-size for a purpose. Doug’s monument sculptures are as lifelike in detail and as full of movement as his small sculptures, making them very special. Doug has created bronze monuments for many purposes such as estate landscape art, schools, museums, hotels, airports and business complexes, throughout the world ~ the finest available in outdoor art.

There are tax write-off opportunities available for public art donations. Public museums, universities and cities are examples of public places that are enhanced by monument sculptures.
